Unlike some of the other robovacs we evaluated, the i3+ EVO features self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO's built-in dustbin holds 2.4L of debris that is more than enough to last five or four cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.
Like the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor tracking sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not the i3+ EVO.
While the i3+ EVO is better in removing surface debris than some of the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best in terms of cleaning corners and edges. It's also more abrasive on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It pushed chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and was stuck to cords and toys while testing.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
Whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums, or just starting out, the Q5 Pro is a great option. It packs serious power, smart navigation and a user-friendly automation into a sleek design at a price that is affordable. It's the best value for the money on the market at the moment and even beats some Roborock models that are more expensive in a variety of ways.
This robot is fantastic at cleaning floors that are bare, and its avoidance tech assists it in staying away from furniture legs and other obstacles. The only drawback is that it's a little noisier than many other models we test and it doesn't do as well in our owner satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin that is 770ml, which means you won't need to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also a lot when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots that we tested.
