Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos
Robots aren't as good at removing particles like screws made of metal or pieces of pasta. But they're excellent at sweeping dust, pet hair, and crumbs. The best models feature intelligent navigation technology and object avoidance features which allow them to navigate around toys, cords and other household obstacles.
1. auto vacuum i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is an excellent robot vacuum that has a variety of smart features that make it more easy to maintain than other models. Its automatic bin emptying is among the most convenient features we've seen in the form of a robot, and it works well with both hard floors and carpets. The app will guide you through the entire process. It's also simple to use and set up. Another impressive feature is its ability to return to where it left off in our tests--it did this for 77 mins on one cleaning before running out of battery.
In contrast to other robovacs we've test, the i3+ EVO has an automatic emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling thanks to a self-emptying container. However it must be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dust bin can hold 2.4L, which will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
This model, like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also lets you navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The i7 also has the ability to make use of its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO cannot.
Although the i3+ EVO is better at picking up debris on surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best for cleaning edges and corners. It is also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It was quite rough on furniture as it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions with the sides of the bed.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
If you're looking to expand your collection of robot vacuums or just beginning your journey using one, the Q5 Pro is a great option. It packs powerful power, a smart navigation system and easy automation into a sleek and stylish design for a reasonable price. It's the best model for the money available at the moment and is even better than the Roborock models that are much more expensive in many ways.
This robot does a great job of cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance technology assists it in avoiding furniture legs and other obstacles. It also excels on carpets, and earns the highest score on our navigation tests. The only issue is that it's more noisy than other models and doesn't perform better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin that is 770ml, which means you don't have to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is very generous compared to others we've examined. When the battery is running low, it automatically returns to its dock where it recharges and then resumes cleaning where it began. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This, in conjunction with other advancements, allows it to do exceptionally well in our mopping and vacuuming tests. You can schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also check the battery status. The app is easy to use, but it does not support Apple HomeKit. That feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to note that the feature will be delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit however, a lot of them work with Siri Shortcuts.

A third option allows you to combine the two functions for a deep and thorough cleaning.
The TP Link RV30 Plus features powerful suction, three settings for dry mopping, and can swiftly remove dust, pet hairs, crumbs, and other debris from any flooring kind. The device can even clean carpets without damaging them thanks to the special mops.
In its first mapping run, TP-Link RV30 Plus scans your home and saves it by using its dual navigation system that consists of LiDAR and Gyro. You can modify the map using the app and split or merge rooms according to your preference. You can also build virtual walls and no-go zones to stop the RV30 Plus from wandering into areas you don't wish to visit.
4. Eufy iMop
The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is among the best fully-featured robots for hard flooring. It features a high-tech navigation system that does an outstanding job of mapping your home's floor and even across several floor levels. The well-designed base station almost fully automates the cleaning process. It offers excellent obstacle avoidance and navigation.
This model makes use of a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to create a map of your home, resulting in efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was highly rated for its navigation and coverage. It also did a great job of avoiding obstacles such as furniture. It's also able to locate its way back to the base station which is a nice feature in the event that it runs out of battery during a cleaning session.
The spot cleaning mode allows you to clean a particular space on your floor. It can also be manually programmed to follow a certain direction. This is great if you have narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test it performed well cleaning carpets. However, it was unable to clean rugs and carpets with longer piles. It can be set up to lift the mop pad when it comes into contact with carpet. This is a fantastic feature for those who wish to save the time of mopping their carpets.
The iMop features an onboard dust container and a water tank that it is filled and refilled at the end of each cleaning session. The dust bin onboard can hold up to 2.5 Liters and only has to be emptied every two cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle half a dozen mopping session before running out. The iMop is much easier to clean and maintain than the average robot cleaner, which can be a major selling point for busy families.
The iMop smartphone app is easy-to-use and has a lot of configuration options. It comes with various suction settings as well as mopping settings, and scheduling. It allows you to set up virtual walls, no-go zones and other limitations to ensure that the robot won't wander off into forbidden areas. In addition, the application provides access to your iMop's status and error messages.
